SEARCH is a wonderful experience for several reasons, but one of the most important aspects of the program is the peer-to-peer style ministry. Being part of a SEARCH retreat team takes a prayerful heart, a dedication to those around you, and a desire to lead others closer to God.
The time commitment for a leadership team position includes participation in three weekly meetings leading up to the SEARCH retreat weekend, time to complete necessary tasks between meetings, and the retreat weekend itself. All meetings are held at the Catholic Pastoral Center from 4-7pm (dinner is provided). Meeting dates are included below. Full participation is mandatory for leadership team members.
If you have attended a SEARCH retreat, we invite you to apply for a leadership role. The application process will guide your personal discernment. We need prayerful, passionate teens to serve as small group leaders, service crew members, and as co-directors for all five of our SEARCH for Christian Maturity retreat weekends!
Part of the application includes providing contact information for an unrelated adult who might recommend you as a leader. We recommend you ask this adult for their permission prior to beginning the application process.
Please take time to prayerfully consider being on a leadership team, and answer the questions honestly and directly. We want you to apply because you feel called to serve, not just because of your experience in leadership roles. We hope you had a wonderful time at SEARCH (we're guessing that is why you are here!), but we want to know about your experiences outside of one SEARCH retreat weekend.
